Big Ole Daddy Bird

As we got set up in the blind, all was good up until the gobbling stopped due to the howl of a coyote. We then decided to get out and check the field behind us as we heard a bird gobbling off in the distance. As we walked and browsed with the binoculars, there he was strutting with a hen.

We made a quick plan to cut the distance through the woods and set up about 300 yards away directly in front of them. After some patience and persistence calling them, both began to move our way. In no time they were at 100 yards and they were both fired up. No sooner than we knew it, they were crossing the ditch and Micah sealed the deal at 10 yards.
