Went and bought my license mid-morning. Got in the woods at about 3ish. I had never killed a buck a large Buck for that matter ever! I was sitting on the ground with a 20 gauge pump shotgun had put out monster buck lure and just regular doe pee. I had a cover sent on of nose jammer I had bought an estrus can and I had a grunt call from years before. I grunted a few times bleated a few times. Heard something behind me ended up being a squirrel, 10 minutes later I looked down behind the bush and I could see a deer coming had no clue how big he was! I got the gun ready and when he stepped out he was probably 10 yards from me and I shot! He ran maybe 20 yards and fail I got up went to where I thought he went couldn’t find blood kept walking just a little ways it was kind of thick and I saw the white of his belly and I ran over to him and my eyes couldn’t believe what I was seeing and I still didn’t know how big it was LOL but I have to say it was the biggest buck I’ve ever killed in my life and I did it this year at the age of 44!!
