So my afternoon started with trying to figure out which stand I needed to hunt with this cool front moving in and wind direction. I choose a stand that I haven’t hunted in almost 2 years
I got in stand around 2:15 pm and it was pretty calm untill 3:50 when I got a glimpse of this deer I began to grunt and snortweez at him but he got out of sight and I thought o might have spooked him. But 2 minutes later a doe started walking in and he wasn’t far behind As the doe got closer she was getting ready to be down wind and I knew I needed to take the shot soon. He stepped out from behind some brush and I took the shot with my T/C venture 280 and he ran about 20 yards and crashed. I really didn’t know how big he was untill I walked up to him I had not seen this deer in 2 years and Just magically showed up
