Wesson Benton killed a 20.6-pound Brunswick County gobbler on April 8, 2022 while hunting with his dad and family friend John Perry. The 5-year-old hunter shot the bird with a Stevens .410 around 7 a.m.
The gobbler has an 11.5-inch beard and 1 1/2-inch spurs.
