Vote now for final Trail Cam Contest winner

This is one of the photos in the final voting session of the 2011 Trail Cam Contest.

Online contest to kick off again July 1, 2012.

It’s time for our users to help choose the final Trail Cam Contest winner for 2012 by going to the contest page and voting for your favorite photo from among the four choices chosen by SouthCarolinaSportsman.com administrators.

The winner of the monthly contest, open to all registered users of the site, will receive a free one-year subscription to South Carolina Sportsman magazine and a $25 gift coupon for the online Sportsman store.

This month’s choices include three photos of deer and one of a black bear.

User “John Sloan” is one of the finalists. His photo, titled “King of the swamp,” shows a big 10-point during the early season.

“Got a picture of this nice buck early and haven’t seen him since,” John Sloan wrote.

Member “huntergrunter9” also made the finals with a photo of a really great buck that he was harvested after a photo of the deer was captured on trail cam back in September.

“Saw this and knew he was the one I wanted,” huntergrunter9 wrote. “Shot him out of a ground blind from about 50 yards away in the middle of the day!”

Check out the report and photo on the kill in the Bag-a-Buck Contest gallery.

“turkeyhunter9688,” who registered for the SouthCarolinaSportsman.com forum on Nov. 3, submitted a photo of two bucks tangled up in a fight. The image was captured by turkeyhunter9688’s trail camera on Oct. 30.

“(S)mall bucks fighting over a scrape in Beaufort County,” he wrote.

Rounding out the monthly choices is a photo by another new member, “uscgrl0000,” showing a black bear at Exchange Plantation in Plantersville.

Be sure to vote for your favorite today!

The Trail Cam Contest will restart July. 1, 2012.

“This contest has been a lot of fun, with some really great photos being uploaded to the gallery,” the site’s Andy Crawford said. “As the hunting season comes to a close, we hope everyone will look for the more contests that will begin soon!”
