How to prepare harvested deer parts for import into N.C.

With Tennessee now on the list of states with verified cases of Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) among deer, the NCWRC would like to remind hunters that importing deer parts from out-of-state hunts is highly regulated. This is to help keep CWD out of North Carolina. No cases of CWD have been reported in the Old North State, and wildlife officials and hunters hope to keep it that way.

The NCWRC asks that hunters watch this video to understand what they need to do in order to import deer parts acquired during out-of-state hunts.
