The members of the Cathey family are in an elite group of hunters that understand the skills required to be successful in turkey hunting. The numbers they have amassed are phenomenal.
Bob, Daniel and Rivers Cathey have a combined 78 years of turkey hunting experience and have taken almost 500 turkeys in eight southeastern states.
“Turkey hunting is more of a passion for the three of us than deer hunting,” said Daniel Cathey, who said patience is perhaps the most-critical element in turkey hunting.
Even with his background, he admits to blowing a few hunts by not waiting a little longer before making a move.
