Trail Cam Photo Contest kicks off

The Trail Cam Contest is back, and better than ever!

Monthly Sportsman prizes up for grabs.

It’s time to show off all the photos from your trail cams in the 2011 Trail Cam Photo Contest.

“Hunting season might not begin until mid September, but scouting begins much earlier than that – and trail cams have become a big part of the scouting scene,” the site’s Andy Crawford said. “So we wanted to provide a place for our users to post their photos and compete for monthly prizes.”

The contest can be found on the NorthCarolinaSportsman.com’s reports forum. Only registered users can enter photos, but registration and contest entry is free.

“All you will have to do to enter the contest is to post a report in the Trail Cam Contest forum, just as you’d post any other report on the site,” Crawford said. “So now you don’t have to go to another part of the site searching for the contest.”

There will be three contest periods: Aug. 1-Sept. 15, Sept. 16-Oct. 15 and Oct. 16-Nov. 15.

At the end of each contest period, a user vote will be held to choose winning photos from among the top images chosen by site administrators.

Each monthly winner will receive a $25 gift coupon to the online Sportsman store and a free one-year North Carolina Sportsman magazine subscription.

“This is just a way for us to show our appreciation to our users, so we encourage everyone to join the forum and begin uploading trail-cam photos,” Crawford said. “And it’s free!”
