Blind luck

A ground blind is tailor-made for hunting with a crossbow.

Chris House and Jerry Simmons both like to hunt from tent-style ground blinds when using crossbows. They can be set up or moved quickly to take advantage of prevailing winds, and they offer protection from the weather and from biting gnats and mosquitoes.

A crossbow can be maneuvered and shot easily from a smaller ground blind that would not accommodate the height or draw length of a compound bow. Blinds with camouflage mesh over the windows to guard against insects allow an arrow to slice through the net with no detrimental effect on accuracy.

A big advantage a ground blind brings is the ability to hunt over the same bait pile on Sundays when crossbows are legal that they hunt with a rifle the other six days of the week.
