SCDNR operates 7 public shooting ranges

From the upstate, to the midlands, and to the coast, the SCDNR operates seven public shooting ranges. Most of these shooting ranges are free to use and are open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The ones that are not free have minimal costs.

The ranges are located at the following locations:

Pickens County Shooting Range at 203 Porter Rd in Liberty (Pickens County)

James O. Thompson Shooting Range at 1079 Foster Mill Circle in Spartanburg (Spartanburg County)

Belfast Shooting Range at 6655 State Hwy 560 in Kindards (Newberry County)

Wateree Shooting Range at 14068 Garners Ferry Road in Eastover (Richland County)

Love Shooting Complex at 1826 Vanboklen Road in Eastover (Richland County)

Twin Ponds Shooting Range at 7492 Willow Hall Road in Awendaw (Charleston County)

Palachucola Shooting Range at 1894 Clyo Road in Garnett (Hampton County)
