Heaviest dolphin wins
Last year, the CCA STAR Tournament added a Dolphin Category, with a separate prize package. That division is back this year, and has already started. But it’s not too late to win. Anglers who enter the Redfish Divivison are automatically registered for this one too, so with one fee, anglers are all set.
This one works a little differently than the Redfish Division, which has anglers trying to catch fish that have been tagged and released.
For the dolphin competition, the registered angler who weighs in the heaviest dolphin between April 1, 2023 and Sept. 4, 2023 will be eligible to win a $5000 tackle package, courtesy of Haddrell’s Point Tackle and Shimano.
