Day 3 recap of Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament

Only 12 out of 271 boats fished on Day 3 of the 2023 Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament, and two of those boats put some excitement into the crowd by bringing blue marlin to weigh, hoping to break the 500-pound mark and win the Fabulous Fisherman prize of $739,500.

But neither of the fish were heavy enough. PREDATOR did land on the leaderboard, in third place, with their 459-pound blue. SEA WOLF weighed a 408.1 pounder, leaving the big prize money still up for grabs entering Day 4.

Only one meat fish was weighed on Day 3. OUTLIER’s 3.8-pound dolphin was good for the Dolphin Daily Prize of $2000.

OUTLIER also released two blue marlin and one sailfish, pocketing another $44,625.

C-STUDENT still leads the Heaviest Blue Marlin category with their 470.2 pounder from Day 1. SEA TOY sits in second place with their 463.7 pounder.

Lines go back in the water Thursday morning. Catch all the action and the full standings at www.thebigrock.com.
