How to catch redfish during wintertime

Redfish are wary in clear water, but you’ll catch them with these tips

Redfish are schooled up in huge numbers this time of year. These big schools offer challenges, especially in the typically clear winter water. But anglers who follow a few tips are catching them consistently.

When these fish are schooled up in such large numbers, it’s easy for a single one of them to spook and alert the others to your presence. This can spoil a fishing trip quickly. Anglers must walk a fine line to keep those fish at a manageable distance.

Houston Stewart with Beaufort SC Fishing shows us what it takes to boat these wary fish without putting too much pressure on them.
