Courtney Swink was fishing in the Atlantic Beach area during North Carolina’s 2026 recreational flounder season when she caught a flounder that weighed 7.27 pounds. She weighed the catch at Chasin’ Tails Outdoors. North Carolina’s recreational flounder season runs Sept. 1-14, with a daily limit of 1 fish per day for each angler.
