Catching Nantahala River trout with Carolina All Out

Beautiful scenery and fishing right beside the road

Whether you’re an expert fly-fisherman or a complete novice, you can catch some great trout on the Nantahala River. And you don’t even have to hike half a day to do it. Some of the best trout fishing you’ll find in Western North Carolina is right next to the highway with convenient roadside parking.

In this episode of Carolina All Out, host Chris Douglas joins Justin Anderson with Justin Anderson Fly Fishing & Guide. They catch plenty of fish, including the three species that make up the Nantahala Slam.

Anglers with little or no fly-fishing experience, don’t be intimidated by the thought of fishing with a fly rod. This video will show you all you need to do in order to catch your own Nantahala Slam.
