Fundraiser will help Three Rivers Land Trust purchase land on Tuckertown Reservoir
On Sept. 26, 2026 Charlotte’s SITKA Gear store will host Three Rivers Land Trust for a community fundraiser aimed at keeping public land on the Tuckertown Reservoir open for recreation.
Three Rivers Land Trust is working to purchase land on Tuckertown Reservoir so they can preserve public access for hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation. The ultimate goal will be eventually transferring ownership of the game lands to the NC Wildlife Resources Commission. Without this effort, land that generations of Charlotte-area residents have used for recreation could be lost to public access permanently.
This free, family-friendly community day will feature a raffle for prize packages donated by local and national outdoor brands, with 100% of proceeds going directly to the land trust’s purchase efforts. Donors include SITKA Gear, Patagonia, Lululemon, NC BHA, Ducks Unlimited, Trout Unlimited, Costa, Turtlebox, Whitetail Properties, Jesse Brown’s, Great Outdoor Provisions Co., and more than a dozen other local and regional businesses.
