Deer and duck hunter,” known to his family as Clay Reed, entered a photo showing him with a 3.13-pound bass caught in Scotland County.

“(I) caught it … (in) deep water with lots of stumps,” Reed wrote. “(It) looks bigger, but that’s on a digital scale.

“Put (it) back in to catch another day.”

Denny John, known on the NorthCarolinaSportsman.com forum as “nc wildman#1,” is shown with a nice “Falls Lake Fatty” landed while fishing one evening.

“Caught her on a wacky rig with shaky head,” John explained.

Each winner will receive a Sportsman Gear Prize pack, including a Sportsman T-shirt, a decal and a one-year subscription to North Carolina Sportsman magazine.
