Contest ends, will restart in April 2012.
Clay Reed easily won the final round of the 2011 Big Bass Contest for a photo of a 3-pounder he caught in a Scotland County pond.
“(I) caught it … (in) deep water with lots of stumps,” Reed wrote. “(It) looks bigger, but that’s on a digital scale.
Reed, who goes by “deer and duck hunter” on the NorthCarolinaSportsman.com forum, will receive a Sportsman Gear prize pack, including a $25 gift coupon for the online Sportsman store and a free one-year subscription to North Carolina Sportsman magazine.
Reed’s photo received all of the votes cast in the voting period.
The second choice was a photo by “nc wildman#1,” known to his family and friends as Denny John. The image showed John with a great “Falls Lake Fatty.”
The Big Bass Contest has ended for this year, but will restart next April.
