Randleman Dam’s hours of operation vary by season. The lake is open 6 a.m.-8 p.m. from May 1 to Aug. 31, 7 a.m.-7 p.m. from Sept.1 to Oct.31, and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. during November. The lake also will be open July 4-5 and Labor Day (Sept. 3).
Bass boat operators should be prepared to pay $15 to launch. A stop at the main lake office is mandatory but also helpful as the office offers free lake maps.
Maximum motorized-boat speed limit on the lake is 25 mph.
Sailboaters, canoeists and kayakers may launch at Southwest Park Boat Ramp at 6309 Southwest Park Road in Guilford County.
No motorizedboats may navigate past the Groometown Road Bridge near I-85.
