Bassmaster Elite Series returning to Santee in 2022

Bassmaster Elite

Santee will host Bassmaster Elite anglers March 17 – 20

The Bassmaster Elite Series has released its 2022 schedule, and the tour will make two stops in South Carolina next season. The Bassmaster Classic will be held at Lake Hartwell March 4 – 6. Less than two weeks later, the Elite Series will be in Clarendon County for the third regular season event of the series.

The Elite Series fished at Santee in 2020 for the first time in more than 10 years. Tiffany Myers, director of tourism for Clarendon County Chamber of Commerce, is excited to have the series returning next year.

“We are so excited to be able to bring the Bassmaster Elites back in 2022. It had been over 10 years since they came to Clarendon County prior to the 2020 tournament. It was a great event. But the pandemic drastically changed plans and logistics. So we are thrilled to have another opportunity to bring them back during the ideal time of year and with a lot more spectators,” said Myers.
