Hannah Raines of Aiken caught her 7-pound 5-ounce bass on a Zebco 33 reel while fishing with her father on a farm pond on 4/9/11. She was overjoyed to tell all the boys at school about her big bass.

Jenn Bidgood of Clarendon County made up for losing an 8-pound bass last summer by catching this lunker this spring while fishing in Manning. Ritt Ritter let Jenn and her husband fish in his bass pond and when the big fish hit she wanted to pass the rod to her husband, but he declined to take it. She went on to catch this big bass, which is her best ever and she calls it ‘Bertha.’

Ryan Robertson of York was fishing in Rock Hill with his son Matthew, age 6, when he landed this big bass. “I put him back in the pond and hope this is just one of many yet to come for me and my favorite fishing buddy this summer,” said Robertson.
