Youth hunter kills big Rockingham County gobbler


Gobbler weighed 19.8 pounds

Will Hall, 12-years-old, of Stokesdale, N.C. killed a 19.8-pound gobbler in Rockingham County during North Carolina’s opening day of the 2022 youth season. The turkey had a 10-inch beard and 1 1/8-inch spurs.

North Carolina’s youth season ran April 2-8, with the statewide season running April 9 through May 7.
