Youth hunter Colton Cates kills opening day gobbler

Youth Season / Opening Day Success in Granville County for 9 year old Colton Cates.

Colton Cates (9 years old) puts the smack down on a huge Granville County Gobbler on open day. Colton shot the turkey with a 20 gauge shotgun at about 6 steps from the blind. Colton has been hunting turkeys since he was 6 years old and has learned how to call turkeys with his mouth without a mouth call. Colton has killed several turkeys since he began hunting, but this turkey has the biggest spurs so far. Coltons father captured the hunt on video.
