Patience paid off. Joseph Callis got this bird on opening day in Lee County, NC. This was his first ever turkey, and right at his birthday at that. We were hunting out of a ground blind and had a jake and a few hens pass through. He decided to pass on the jake. 15 minutes later it paid off.
