Special gobbler for young hunter

special gobbler

My daughter killed this 21.4-pound gobbler on the last day of youth season. The bird had 10.25” beard and both spurs were 1.25”. This bird is special to her because she lost her 8-year-old brother on 12/21/20. He had asked for a gun for Christmas so he could start hunting. I had purchased him a Stevens 301, .410 single shot for Christmas. He unfortunately never got to see or hold the gun. She spent all of last season trying to kill a turkey with his gun but had a few misses and close calls. This morning at 732 she finally was able to harvest a mature bird using her deceased brothers gun.
