Jayden Garden’s 20-pound gobbler

20-pound gobbler

20-pound gobbler was youth hunter’s first ever turkey

Killing a gobbler in the 20-pound range is a feat that many hunters never experience. Ten-year–old Jayden Garden of Goldsboro, N.C. did it on his first ever turkey hunt. Garden was hunting in Wayne County, N.C. on April 5, 2021 when he pulled the trigger on his .410. His load of TSS found its mark 15 yards away on the trophy turkey.

Aside from its 20-pound body, the turkey sported an 11 1/2-inch beard and 1 1/4-inch spurs.

We’d say that’s an awesome way to start a turkey hunting career!
