Will Taylor’s Granville County 8-point

Granville County 8-point buck slipped up in late November

My good friend Will Taylor killed this big Granville County 8-point buck on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023. He’d previously been hunting a 150-inch 10-pointer that ended up getting killed on a neighboring farm. Not long after that happened, Will started getting trail camera pictures of this nice 8-pointer.

The deer made a daylight appearance Sunday morning as Will was leaving for church, so he knew he needed to hunt him hard this week. He lucked up on Nov. 28 when the buck stepped out at 5:20 p.m. He made an extremely questionable shot and if it hadn’t been for the help of his friends Ryan, David, and Zeke, he likely wouldn’t have found the deer. That’s what hunting buddies are for!
