“UNCW freshman kills giant buck with bow”! Caroline Coley ,18, of Holly Springs and a freshman at UNCW shot this monster buck on October 9 near Chapel Hill. ( Finally a Thrill in Chapel Hill 🤣)! The buck went less than 100 yards thanks to the mega meat broadhead that her brother JT suggested that she use. “I’ve been after my dad to find me a big buck to hunt over Fall Break and boy did he deliver”! It came out at dusk and faced towards us for eternity before finally turning broadside at 30 yards which was tough as we were both shaking and doing our best to remain calm and be patient as light was fading. The buck is estimated to weigh over 225 pounds! I can’t wait to have it mounted on the wall in my room!
