Afternoon, Evening
Went Hunting for a quick hunt after work. Deer started chasing and this buck and another chased does for 8-10 minutes before jumping a fence line between the cow pasture and the powerline stand i was hunting that evening. The buck I shot pushed the other buck around grunting. I grunted back twice. This buck stopped scraped the ground 3-4 times postured & bristled his hair up turned around and trotted down the powerline right at me. i stopped him with a doe bleet took aim and shot. immediately watching the elumenok go thru the deer where i was aimed heard the swhacker’s trademark sound and lungs pop. The deer mule kicked and jumped twice and i saw and heard him crash just out of sight in the edge of the wood line. I waited 5-10 minutes called my back up. 10 minutes later climbed down went to the bolt to inspect and from the bolts location lodged in the ground i could see his rack sticking up. from time sitting down in the stand to calling for backup and getting my hands on the antlers and deer was a total of a hour and a half.
