My name is James Farris, I got permission to hunt both sides of the NC, Va state line 1 week before muzzleloader season came in. With such short notice I didn’t have much time to prepare so I talked to the landowner and his farm help and they had been seeing 2 really big bucks.
With their help I decided to hunt a natural funnel and on the morning of November 3 around 9:15 this buck came out to work a scrape, one shot from my CVA 50 cal put him down at 75yds. This buck green scored at 140 and is my biggest so far.
