Ricky Wooten’s Davie County 9-point

Ricky Wooten killed this wide 9-point buck on Nov. 18 in Davie County, NC.

Wooten said the buck was rutting, and that it came in grunting without 2 yards of his blind. Luckily, the hunter was able to get the buck to stop, then shot the deer.

“I heard him crash, then found him about 30 yards from where I shot him,” he said.
