Evening

Got my first and only photos of this buck on Oct 30th, around midnight. Several other great deer over the last two weeks, but knew this was the shooter. Passed a 130’s class 3.5yr old 9pt opening morning at the same spot, knew that “Stickers” was the one to go after. Kept an eye on the camera, started seeing a lot more buck activity, knew it was time to go try. Wind was ideal, decided to slip in afterwork. Got setup in my spot around 4PM, started seeing a few deer shortly afterwards. Was watching a nice mature 7pt tending a doe off in the distance around 260yds, but kept checking my spot off to my left. A smaller buck and another smaller 8 was on the pile with a doe, they left. While looking for the 7pt, I decided to glass back to check my pile, to notice a great buck had come in. At first, I thought it was the 9 again, which I decided to let pass for the year. While glassing him, I was looking for his sticker off his left g2 to identify him. Once I saw that, I knew it was go time. Took my time and made a clean shot, the Arrowhead smokeless muzzleloader with the 300gr XLD did the trick at 2830FPS!
