Matt King kills Surry County 14-point buck

Matt King

This buck showed up on my trail camera in Surry County about 3 weeks ago. He was a regular but was nocturnal until Nov. 8th when I got some daylight photos of him at about 730 in the morning. At that point I knew I needed to be in the stand as much as possible. The morning of the 10th he showed up right on schedule and my Knight Vision 50 caliber muzzleloader got the job done. I knew he was a good buck from the trail camera photos but once I got to see him up close in person he was much bigger than I had thought. His antler mass is exceptional and the deer itself had a massive body.
