Because the sun sets over my right shoulder, the right corner of the food plot gets shaded first. That is normally where all the deer come out first, but on the day I killed him, he unpredictably stepped out on the lighter left side, which caught me off guard a little bit. Regardless, a quick adjustment on target, and his doe chasing days were done. I’m glad to get a nice one in September. I usually end up having most of my success in October and early November.
