Joseph Oneal kills 8-point buck

8-point buck stepped out late

Joseph ONeal of Darlington, SC killed an 8-point buck in his home county on the evening of Sept. 2, 2024. He shot the buck with a .270 from 150 yards away while sitting in an elevated stand.

The buck showed up with just a little bit of legal shooting light left. ONeal took advantage of the buck’s mistake and pulled the trigger. The deer ran a short distance, and ONeal successfully tracked it.
