Morning

It was really foggy and I was not really expecting to be able to kill anything as I am very selective and won’t take a chance to shoot unless I’m exactly sure of the exact buck I’m about to shoot at. As the fog started to clear some I saw him chasing a doe between me and the corn pile. He ended up broad side on the corn pile shortly after. I lined up and squeezed the trigger and “CLICK”! I was frantically trying to fix the issue. There was a round chambered but apparently the bolt didn’t seat on it correctly. After I got it reseated I checked and thankfully he was still there. Next time the rifle went “BOOM” and he was laying right where he stood. I had no idea how big he really was until I got down and went to him a bit later. Even then I was still underestimating his size until Black Mingo Processors hung it on their scales. This is my biggest ever and I’m super excited about it.
