We moved to a remote area and now they’re building a 400 home housing development on our property line. We just caught wind of this deer 2 days prior and we knew our days were limited with the developers burning the land beside us. We hunted 2 separate stands in the area on Tuesday with no luck. The next day my dad came straight home still in his work clothes and smoked him. I heard the shit from my back porch and told my wife “If he shot, he’s dead”. My dad definitely deserves this buck and been a number of years since he’s had an opportunity to take a shot at one. I thought for a minute he was losing interest in deer hunting, but this buck has his heart pumping again.
