Dirty Dozen 13-point buck had a wide spread

Stephen Kelly IV, 12-years-old of Camden, SC, killed a 13-point buck that weighed 175 pounds and had a 20-inch outside spread (18.5 inside).

The young hunter was hunting with his dad Stephen III in Kershaw County on Nov. 19, 2023 on their family farm. After getting in the ground blind around 3:30 pm, the hunt began. At around 5:10 pm, the giant buck stepped out and presented Stephen IV with a 75-yard, hard quartering away shot. He settled the crosshairs from his Winchester Model 70 (7mm-08) and sent the 140-grain Federal Trophy bonded tip across the finish line! The massive beast buckled hard and ran about 90 yards to where we found him. Stephen was extremely excited about his trophy of a lifetime. He’s enjoyed sharing his story with family and friends.
