I had been hunting both bucks hard since the first time I got them on camera on 09/17. That was just 3 days after getting permission to hunt the property, which was only 14 acres. I was busted by the big 7 that week and thought I’d lost my opportunity. Then I didn’t get pictures of either buck for 2 weeks. On the morning of 10/13, they came in below me fighting. I made a 20 yard shot on the 9 and he only went 30 yards while waiting a few minutes to get down, and get over the shakes, the 7 came back and offered a broad side shot. Both bucks were down within 15 minutes and I knew that I had experienced something that very few get to, especially in SC.
