7 am September 13. Haven’t had much activity this season. Climbed into an old stand where several nice deer have been taken over the years. At 7:05 I heard movement coming from cutover behind me. The buck was bounding towards a hardwood bottom and I couldn’t locate him in the scope. I whistled just before he hit the woods. He paused; I pointed and shot (6.5 Creedmoor). He was hit in the lower front chest and he fell instantly. He appeared older with very dark thick tines. When I took him to the processor I was pleased to find that he weighed in just over 200 lbs at 201
