Hunting from the ground on a cold rainy day didn’t expect to see anything was looking to the right in to my left out of the corner of my eye I saw movement and there he was a giant buck, he was on a mission. I quickly grab my rifle a 30-30 Henry lever action and let out a mehhhh he stopped briefly then he continued on his way towards the creek I’ll let out another mehhhh and he stopped again and when he did, I put the reticle on him right behind his shoulder and fired a shot before he could start moving again. He fell and got back on his feet and started heading the direction he came. I quickly put the reticle on him again to make another shot but before I could, he fell again this time he did not get up he kicked a few times, and that was it, I could see the white belly from my shooting position, which was about 50 yards away. This is my second buck and my biggest deer so far.
