My 6 year old, Coleman Peavy killed his first buck on Sunday October 26, 2025. He first saw this buck the Friday before when he shot and missed him. He went every single day after that (sometimes twice a day) with his dad to hopefully get a second attempt. This past Sunday morning they went hunting before church and he was blessed that morning just at legal shooting time. He climbed up on his daddy’s knee, got his rifle ready, and aimed for the perfect shoulder shot that dropped him in his tracks at 100 yards. He was shooting a 6.5 CM. Coleman hasn’t quit smiling since. He’s hooked on deer hunting for a lifetime. He shot 2 does last season and has been looking forward to an opportunity with a buck. We never expected his first buck to be a lifetime buck but what an awesome memory that he will never forget. I’ve told him many times this week that not many kids his age or even grown men even get this experience. He’s a lucky little fella and we are very proud of him.
