The hunt started out with immature deer all around me well before first light, I awaited patiently for something decent to walk within bow range. Shortly after sun rise a hour or so went by with a nice 6 point. The buck stepped into 20 yards I slowly drawed back trying not to spook him. I slowly squeezed off the shot arrow spinning through the air. My lighted knock entered slightly high but it perfectly behind the shoulder entering the bucks vitals. The buck ran off, I watched him go out of sight knowing the shot was fatal. As time went on through out the morning I heard sticks and leafs crackling at a distance shortly after I spotted a doe working her way toward me, but wait not just one doe but 7 doe. As they worked there way into range I picked out the most mature, she worked into 25 yards, I slowly drawed back my bow settled my pin just above the heart. She mule kicks and almost crashes instantly. That was all the activity I had threw out the morning. As 10am approached I climbed down to find both lighted knocks with great blood. I trailed both deer, not only one but 2 deer expired within 100 yards of my stand that morning. God is great!
