On the evening of November 20th I was sitting in my ladder stand that borders a cut down and the woods. I had been sitting there for about 3 hours and hadn’t seen the first deer. I kept scanning the cut down and looking in the woods. Around 5:15pm I had looked at my phone to see what time it was getting to be. When I looked back up and looking out over the cut down I saw this buck walking towards the woods. I slowly lifted my rifle in to place and the deer stopped right behind a tree and just stood there staring in my direction. I sat there waiting on him to move from behind that tree where I could get a shot. Finally he took and step and I shot. I knew he was a nice buck but didn’t realize he was one that I had been watching for several weeks until I was able to walk up to him. I only had pictures of this deer at night. This was the first time I had seen him during daylight hours.
