I first had a small 8 come out. I watched him eat for a little bit then a yearling came out with a big doe. I wanted to shoot a doe and was watching her for a second. The 8 point ended up chasing her. They went off into the woods. So I was like okay it wasn’t meant to be for that doe. A few minutes later the doe and small 8 come back out with another small buck. They were on top of my stand so I couldn’t really get a good shot so I just watched them. They ended up chasing the doe out of the field again. I looked to my left and I had a spike and button buck walking up the road. I sat there for a few. It was getting close to dark at this point. Looked up and the small 8 was back out in the field. He ran up to a tree and started rubbing his horns on it. Then I see another deer run up behind me. I figured it was the other small buck with him but it wasn’t. The smaller buck was standing in the back of the food plot. I got the buck in my scope and I could see where his horns met at the front and I could see his white face. So I said this has got to be a good buck from what I’m seeing. I put him in the scope and shot.
