Lillie Winkeler waited patiently for her first buck
Lillie Winkeler of Marion, SC killed her first buck on Oct. 3, 2023, while hunting in Dillon County with her dad. She decided to pass on a smaller 6-point that walked out only a few minutes before this nice 8-point appeared from the pines.
Winkeler was shooting a NEF Handi-Rifle chambered in .243 and made a great shot from about 100 yards out. You couldn’t wipe the smile off this young hunter’s face.
