176 inch S.O.G brute 10 pointer

I got permission the day before the hunt. I went in clueless the next day on where to go. Only had 8 acres, so it wasn’t hard to choose a spot. I climbed the tree at 3:30 pm, got settled in, and it wasn’t very long before I was in the action. I was in very thick cutover, and only caught a glimpse of one side of his face. Something told me that if I didn’t take the shot right then, he would be gone forever. So I drew my sights into the brush on where I thought his vitals were, about 30 steps away from my tree, and I sent it with hopes and dreams. After the shot, I got one more good glimpse of his rack, and it looked like he was tearing the woods down going away from me. I shot him with a Remington 700 264 Sendero with a 5x20x50 Trijicon scope. In a total of 2 hours I was on the ground taking pictures with the biggest buck of my life.
