This is a prime example of letting a 130” deer go another year and what it could turn out to be. This deer wouldn’t come to corn or come in front of a camera after last year hence why he made it as long as he did. Saw him 3 weeks prior at 300 yards and decided to pass for a better opportunity. 3 weeks went by and I made a plan to hunt him from the ground due to the terrain Disadvantages and the wind. On the evening of September 6th with several other young bucks in the field, out he steps a mere 50 yards away. Within a few mins, the story came to an end. Most bucks are the biggest in the scope. This deer grew the closer I got to him. A true “once in a lifetime” animal for this state. Praise be to God for putting me in the right place at the right time and for allowing me to take such an animal.
