Yadkin County buck weighed 185 pounds
The evening hunt that took place on November 19, 2024 was one special day for 14 year old Kristen Reynolds. After getting home from school, Kristen, her cousin Taylor, and her great uncle Perry set out for the big box stand. It was a relatively quiet evening until around 5:30 when a bigger buck walked out into the field perfectly broadside about 140 yards away.
Kristen took her time, making a perfect shot on the buck. Unaware of how far the buck ran, they recruited a friend to help track, however he only ran about 60 yards from where he was shot. This buck being only Kristen’s second deer ever, she was so surprised to walk up on a beautiful, 185-pound 15-pointer. This hunt will be one she will never forget.
