12-year-old takes down huge 8-point buck

The young hunter video’d the hunt

Alex Rosborough, 12-years-old of Blackstock, S.C. killed a big 8-point buck that sported a 20-inch spread on Oct. 19, 2021. The youth hunter was hunting on his grandparents’ property in Fairfield County when he shot the deer with his granddad’s .30-06.

It was his first time shooting the gun at a deer. His own gun was locked in the safe and his granddad was having trouble getting it open. So he took the .30-06 and his camera and headed for the woods. He made a video of the entire process, from going into the woods, passing on a smaller buck, killing the big 8, then recovering the deer.
